Children’s Dentistry Madison
Making Small Smiles Grow Big & Strong

Having served Madison since 1984, our practice has taken care of local families for so long that many children are now bringing their own children (even grandchildren!) to come see us. That’s because we go out of our way to help young patients feel comfortable while always clearly communicating with parents. As busy parents ourselves, we’re here to take one thing off your plate so you can spend more time making memories and less time at the dentist! We can’t wait to get to know your favorite smile(s), so reach out today for an appointment.

Kids Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Our highest priority when you bring your child is to make sure they feel right at home in our office. We know that a child’s early dental experiences can easily shape how they feel about dentistry well into adulthood, so we’ll make sure they only have warm and happy memories! Our dentists will monitor their oral growth and development, provide gentle cleanings, and answer any questions you both have so that they have a healthy smile at every milestone.
Dental Sealants

Children aren’t the best brushers in the world, which is why they often don’t adequately clean their back teeth. The molars are the most likely to develop cavities, but we can stop this with dental sealants. A clear, thin layer of dental resin is placed over the chewing surfaces of the teeth, creating a barrier against plaque and food particles that are the source of decay. They take minutes to apply and can last for several years, or until temporary teeth fall out on their own.
Silver Diamine Fluoride Treatment

While regular fluoride can strengthen teeth and protect against cavities, SDF can protect your child when they already have active decay. Applied to the troubled tooth, it instantly kills the bacteria damaging the tooth while preserving the remaining enamel. This means we can take care of “sugar bugs” without needing to use a traditional drill. This is a more conservative approach that our young patients definitely appreciate.
Pulp Treatment

Does your child have a toothache? This may be because bacteria have reached the sensitive inner tissue of one of their teeth. Rather than simply extracting the tooth, we can use pulp treatment to remove the infection and stop the pain right away. This allows the tooth to remain and fall out when nature intends, ensuring a cavity doesn’t interfere with your child’s oral development.
